1. Choose the map setup
Select Fantasy or Sci-fi, then set the tile size and X/Y axes. The board size updates automatically, so a 3×3 map with 320px tiles becomes 960×960px.
2. Place tiles, tokens, and actors
Open Games or Packs, then expand a group and category. Click a tile, token, or actor in the sidebar, then click the map to place it.
To stop placing the selected sidebar item, press Esc, click Cancel placement, or click the selected sidebar item again.
3. Tile subtleties
Tiles snap to the grid. Tile faces are paired: placing one face, like 2R, also makes 2V unavailable until that placed tile is deleted.
4. Token and actor stock
Token and actor counts show remaining stock. For example, x 17/18 means 17 remain from 18 total. Recto/verso tokens share the same stock, so normal and back-side versions count against the same limit.
5. Move, rotate, and delete
Move mode lets you drag placed items. Press D to activate it.
Rotate mode rotates a placed item by 90° when clicked. Press R to activate it.
Right-click a placed item to delete it. In the delete popup, Esc cancels and Enter confirms.
6. Hide Custom, save, and export
Hide Custom is checked by default and hides custom Fantasy content from the sidebar. Uncheck it to show custom groups.
Download JSON saves the editable map. Load JSON restores it later. Export JPG and Export PNG render the map image; the export hides the editor grid cells and uses a transparent background.
